Welcome to Haserupt. Your privacy is extremely important to us.

Haserupt is designed to help users build healthier screen habits while minimizing the amount of personal data collected or stored. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, where it is processed, and the choices you have regarding your data.

By using Haserupt, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information Stored on Your Device

Hase primarily works entirely on-device.

The following information is stored locally on your iPhone and is not sent to our servers unless explicitly stated otherwise:

  • Selected app names
  • App usage history
  • Screen time activity
  • Tasks associated with apps
  • Session history
  • AI context and behavioral data
  • Device usage patterns
  • Cooldown/session states
  • Generated AI prompts and responses related to your activity

This information is deleted from the device when you sign out of your account or uninstall the app.

B. Information We Store on Our Servers

We only store limited account and gameplay-related information necessary for operating the app.

This may include:

  • Your email address provided through Apple Sign In
  • Character customization data
  • Game progress
  • In-app currency balances
  • Purchase history
  • App preferences and settings

We do not sell your data.

We do not use your personal usage history for advertising.

C. Optional Cloud Sync Data

During onboarding, you may choose to enable:

“Save my apps & tasks to cloud”

If enabled, we may store:

  • App names you manually entered
  • Associated tasks/preferences

This feature exists solely to restore your setup across devices or after reinstalling the app.

If you do not enable this feature:

  • Your app names and tasks remain exclusively on your device
  • They are never stored in our servers or databases

You may disable cloud sync and delete synced data at any time from within the app.

2.Why We Ask You to Type App Names

Due to platform restrictions imposed by Apple, iOS does not allow Haserupt to directly read the display names of apps selected through Screen Time APIs.

To provide personalized AI interactions, Haserupt asks users to manually type app names during onboarding.

These app names are:

  • Processed locally whenever possible
  • Not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud sync

3.AI Services

Haserupt uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service to generate contextual responses and interactions from Hase, the in-app companion character.

Depending on the feature being used, certain prompts and contextual information may be sent directly from your device to our Azure OpenAI instance for processing.

Importantly:

  • Requests are sent directly from your device to the AI service
  • Your app usage history is not routed through our own servers
  • We do not maintain a database of your usage prompts or behavioral history

However, please note:

Under limited circumstances, Microsoft may review prompts or generated content to investigate abuse, harmful content, or violations of their policies. This review process is governed by Microsoft’s own policies and systems.

We encourage users not to submit sensitive personal information into free-form AI conversations.

4. Screen Time & Usage Data

Haserupt uses Apple’s Screen Time APIs to help users manage app usage sessions and cooldowns.

We intentionally minimize access to device activity data.

We do not:

  • Read private content from apps
  • Read messages, emails, photos, or browser history
  • Record keystrokes
  • Monitor screen contents
  • Access passwords
  • Track exact in-app activity

We only use the minimum information required to:

  • Start and manage sessions
  • Trigger cooldowns
  • Generate reminders and AI interactions
  • Maintain gameplay systems

5. Purchases

In-app purchases are processed securely through Apple App Store infrastructure.

We do not store full payment information or credit card details.

6. Data Retention

We retain server-side account information only for as long as necessary to:

  • Operate the service
  • Maintain purchases and progress
  • Comply with legal obligations

Device-local behavioral and screen usage data remains under your control and is deleted upon sign out or app removal.

7. Children's Privacy

Haserupt is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we become aware that a child has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect stored information.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to:

  • Access your data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account
  • Request export of stored information

You may contact us to exercise these rights.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

If significant changes are made, we will notify users through the app or other appropriate methods.
